About Us

DMC Holdings was founded in 1987 by Engineer/Entrepreneur Richard Crist. Initially, DMC performed Heavy Highway Construction work, including the renovation of the I-75 (Death Hill) Section in Northern Kentucky. In 1990 DMC began expanding into other projects. Among these projects was the CVG Delta Airport Terminal Expansion. For this expansion, DMC excavated the tunnel systems and built the foundation.

In 1997, DMC expanded its business further to include multiple residential and commercial real estate projects. These projects included:

  • Walton Towne Center
  • Walton Commercial Development projects
  • Handerson Residential
  • Merchant's Plaza (a subsidiary of DMC)
  • Houston Road Development projects
  • Richwood Shoppes
  • Salem Creek Estates

Beginning in 2000, a DMC subsidiary began investing in commercial real estate holdings in 12 other states including Utah and California.

In 2023 Mr. Crist's daughter, Attorney Sheila Crist, became the Majority Owner of the business.
